Maren Morris brought her anthemic single "Girl" to the 2019 CMA Awards stage on Wednesday night (Nov. 13). The country star gave a show-stopping performance of the hit during the live awards show.

Surrounded by a sea of peonies and a waterfall of sparkling lights, Morris wore a flowing white mini dress (showing off that baby bump!) to complement her powerhouse vocals, proving once again that woman can be beautiful and strong all at the same time. In many ways, it was the perfect way to perform "Girl," which is all about women finding confidence and strength from within rather than in who the world tells them they should be.

Morris, who is also a member of the country supergroup the Highwomen, appeared on the 2019 CMA Awards stage earlier in the evening, as a part of the show's opening medley. The newly formed quartet was part of the collaborative performance, which featured a number of female country icons.

Morris is at the tail end of a busy year of touring in support of her sophomore record, Girl, which was released in March. She's also been actively performing as a founding member of the Highwomen, who released their debut record in September, and in October, Morris announced that she and husband Ryan Hurd are expecting their first child, a son, in March.

In 2019, Morris earned nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year at the CMA Awards. She is the most-nominated artist of the night.
