Luke Bryan will debut his new single at the 2013 CMA Awards. The country superstar will perform 'Drink a Beer' as part of the live broadcast.

The song is the third single from his chart-topping album 'Crash My Party,' which opened at No. 1 across all genres earlier this year. Written by Jim Beavers and Chris Stapleton, the emotional ballad is a big change of pace from his recent No. 1 hit, 'That's My Kind of Night.'

“This is the coolest sad song ever,” Bryan says in a press release. “It holds a special place in my heart and I am honored the writers allowed me to record it.”

Bryan is dedicating his performance of 'Drink a Beer' to his brother Chris and sister Kelly, whom he lost in 1996 and 2007. Stapleton will join him to sing background vocals on the song, as he did on the single.

It's part of a very busy day for Bryan, who will kick off the awards early with a morning live appearance on 'Good Morning America.' He will also open the live CMA broadcast by performing 'That's My Kind of Night.'

Bryan is also nominated for three awards -- Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year, which he shares with Jason Aldean and Eric Church for their collaboration on 'The Only Way I Know.'

The 2013 CMA Awards will air on Wednesday (Nov. 6) at 8PM ET on ABC.
