Luke BryanThere's nothing like your first time, as any recording artist can attest to, especially with the first single, first album and first award. Luke Bryan certainly agrees, as he celebrates the R.I.A.A. certification of his first gold digital single for his recent chart-topping hit, 'Do I,' which sold more than 500,000 copies.

The Georgia native co-wrote 'Do I' with pals Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum, and says he's received a lot of feedback from couples who are reevaluating their relationships. "Somewhere, somebody's riding down the road with their wife or their husband listening to this song and they cut it off and they go, 'Are we there?' My wife's even done it to me," says Luke. "And that's the beauty of the song. When you are blessed to write a great song that touches on people's emotions, that's what it's all about ... you want your music to stir people inside. And we knew we really had something special when some of the first stations that were playing it were calling us back, going, 'We've got a lot of people calling in saying this song is really helping them a lot.' So, that's just one of those added bonuses to a song when you write it."

'Do I' is the first single from Luke's 'Doin' My Thing' album, and the singer is set to follow up his smash success with 'Rain is a Good Thing,' which starts hitting the airwaves next week.

Luke kicks off his opening gig for Jason Aldean on his 'Wide Open' tour on Saturday in Macon, Georgia.
