Little Big Town has announced they will headline their own tour next year, kicking it off January 24 in Jacksonville, Fla. The Grammy-nominated quartet says their live show proves that what you hear on the radio is real.

"A lot of times they (fans) go to shows and get disappointed that it's not reflective of the music that was made in the studio," Karen Fairchild tells The Boot. "So then they wonder, 'Well what is really the art of it if somebody can doctor stuff so much in the studio?' And so for us, there's nothing but us, a bass and guitar and drums, and if we play wrong notes or sing out of tune, it's all right there. But we like that, because that's where the humanity of it all comes in."

Fairchild's husband and bandmate Jimi Westbrook says the key to a successful live show is also just to have fun!

"We just love playing live," he says. "Hopefully, when people come to see us, they see the excitement in us."

"We were having this much fun when we were driving ourselves all over the place and not sleeping," adds Phillip Sweet. "And now we have a little more fun!"

Little Big Town's 2009 tour already has dates booked from January through October. Opening acts will include Ashton Shepherd, Zac Brown Band, Jonathan Singleton & the Grove, and Kate and Kacey.
