Little Big Town didn't shy away from the minor controversy surrounding their single "Girl Crush" at the 2015 ACM Awards, as the foursome delivered a beautiful rendition of the tune for the live audience.

The band faced a challenge in trying to make the quiet, intimate song work in an 80,000-seat football stadium, but they pulled it off with the help of the giant video screens that isolated on a close-up shot of singer Karen Fairchild's face as she sang the tale of envy and obsession. A huge disco ball behind the group that provided scattered rays of light into the darkened crowd to also help set the tone. The hushed tones provided by the simple instrumentation backing up the group made the performance one of the most captivating of the evening.

Little Big Town were nominated for two ACM Awards this year and took home the honor for Vocal Group of the Year.
