Little Big Town Release New Single, ‘Day Drinking’ [LISTEN]

Fresh off Little Big Town's unforgettable performance of 'Day Drinking' at the 2014 CMT Music Awards, the quartet have released the song as the debut single from their upcoming album.

With lines like “Don’t wanna wait / ‘Til the sun’s sinking / We could be feelin’ alright / I know you know what I’m thinking / Why don’t we do a little day drinking," the song is bound to be a summer hit, much like their 2012 multi-platinum 'Pontoon,' which sealed their superstar status.

"With 'Day Drinking,' we had a blast that day because we were drinking and writing songs," band member Karen Fairchild tells Billboard magazine. "It's like the tip of the iceberg on the record. It's its own work. I don't know how to describe it. It went differently in the studio than the last record did."

"I'm so excited for everyone to hear this record," fellow band member Phillip Sweet adds. "It makes me happy in my soul musically. I think that's all you can ask for at the end of the day, to have gone in and give it your best shot, and chase the music and let it lead you wherever it's going to go. That's what happened."
