Little Big Town fans with tickets for the quartet's upcoming concerts are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see them. The band has canceled more than a month's worth of shows due to member Jimi Westbrook's vocal cord surgery.

The band revealed the news of Westbrook's surgery, as well as the concert cancellations, in a posting on their website. Westbrook is having a polyp removed from his vocal cords, and his doctors have mandated that he rest his voice and fully recuperate before Little Big Town continue their 2015 Pain Killer Tour.

"It breaks our hearts to let you guys down, but Jimi’s health is the most important thing, and he is expected to make a full recovery with rest and treatment," the band writes. "We will keep everyone updated on Jimi’s progress. Thanks for your understanding and support."

Little Big Town have been out on their Pain Killer Tour since late last year. They recently appeared as surprise guests at Taylor Swift's tour stop in Philadelphia and took part in Darius Rucker's Darius Rucker and Friends benefit concert; they also played a show at LP Field on Saturday (June 13) as part of the 2015 CMA Music Festival.

A total of 13 shows scheduled through July 30 will be either canceled or rescheduled. There is no word yet on which shows will be outright canceled and which will be rescheduled, nor is there information on ticket refunds. A full list of LBT's upcoming tour dates is available on their website.
