Lauren Alaina brought a little classic country to the CMA Awards stage. The country star offered up a rendition of Dottie West's "Lesson In Leavin'" during the annual awards ceremony.

Alaina took the stage in a long, purple gown. She sang through the first verse with soulful vigor, then spoke about this year's Country Music Hall of Fame inductions, saying, "I'm honored to say Dottie West is the latest great lady to enter our Country Music Hall of Fame," before cutting to a commercial break and teasing upcoming performances.

West's "Lesson In Leavin'" was her first number one country hit, released in 1980 as a single from her album Special Delivery. West was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on October 21, 2018, after she was killed in a car accident at the age of 58 in 1991.

Lauren Alaina was a nominee for the New Artist of the Year award and released a sweeping single, "Ladies in the '90s" this year.
