Lady Antebellum received an unexpected surprise during the taping of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' Friday. After their performance of their latest single, 'I Run To You,' Ellen surprised the trio with an official plaque certifying their debut album gold by the RIAA.

"Of course, leave it to the girl in the group to cry," Hillary Scott says, laughing. "We were so caught off guard, but it was such a special place for this to happen since our first national television performance was on Ellen back when our album was released. It was a really cool moment for us to be able to stop and reflect on how amazing the last nine months have been."

Lady Antebellum are now gearing up for the Grammy Awards on Sunday, where they're up for Best New Artist and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for their debut single, 'I Run To You.' The group has already won new artist awards at both the CMA and ACM Awards.

Lady A's performance on 'Ellen' will air on Monday, February 9.
