Lady Antebellum are soaring up the charts with their latest single, 'Just a Kiss.' The tune, penned by the three trio members -- Charles Kelly, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood -- along with hit songwriter Dallas Davidson, advocates ending the evening with "just a kiss goodnight." The lyrics are a sharp contrast to the message of their record-breaking smash, 'Need You Now.'

"We had so many parents come up to us at meet-and-greets, completely joking, not being upset with us, but going, 'Thank you so much for having my five-year-old sing 'It's a quarter after one and I'm a little drunk and I need you now,'" Hillary tells GAC.

"We're not going to say something that's too over the top," Charles continues. "We've said in interviews past, with that drunk line in 'Need You Now,' we don't want to be too offensive, but you have to be honest with it. For that song, 'Need You Now,' for us, it was more showing that desperation. This song is the opposite, showing that first time love."

The sentiment in 'Just a Kiss' is part of what Charles credits with helping him find true love with his wife, publicist Cassie McConnell Kelley. "When you find that person, whether it's someone you're ultimately going to marry, when you feel like you're starting to fall in love," explains the 29-year-old, "I know when I met my wife, the first night it was like, 'This is different.'"

Hillary reveals she too has started relationships slowly in the past, but not necessarily by her own choosing. The Nashville native's parents kept a very close watch on her as she was growing up. "I couldn't date till I was 16. Couldn't go on a car date," she reveals. "I was pretty sheltered in a good way. I went to a smaller school and had great friends. I think I was a pretty good teenager. I definitely remember getting sat down and talked to a couple times. My curfew was always really early. That was one thing I would always get in an argument with my dad and my mom about."

Regardless of their past situations, the three Lady A members are all thrilled to see 'Just a Kiss' resonate so well with their fans "We're excited! We're so ready for new music, we're just chomping at the bit," Charles tells The Boot. "It seems like forever promoting 'Need You Now,' so we're ready for some new music."

Lady A's new album, 'Own the Night,' will hit shelves September 13. The award-winning trio are spending much of their summer on the road, including shows in Wisconsin, Ohio and California. Keep track of their schedule here.
