As expected, Lady Antebellum's third album, 'Own the Night,' has taken ownership of the Billboard charts, topping both the country survey and the all-encompassing Billboard 200. With 347,000 copies sold in its first week of release, the collection falls short (by nearly 150,000) of the first-week sales of 2010's now multi-platinum-selling 'Need You Now,' but the new disc has logged the best debut week for any country album thus far in 2011, outdistancing Brad Paisley's 'This Is Country Music,' which sold 152,000 in its first week this past June.

'Own the Night' is Lady A's third consecutive No. 1 country album -- and second No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Although the strong sales are likely to continue over the next weeks and months, the collection still has a long way to go to catch up to its predecessors -- 'Lady Antebellum' has sold over two million copies and 'Need You Now' is triple-platinum, with sales of over three million.

Also making a splash onto the charts is an album that's actually been there before. Brantley Gilbert, who penned Jason Aldean's 'My Kinda Party' and co-wrote the singer's 'Dirt Road Anthem' returns to the chart with the deluxe edition of his album, 'Halfway to Heaven.' The collection, now available on the Big Machine Label Group's Valory Music imprint, features the dozen original cuts released in 2010, along with 15 additional tracks.

On the Country Digital Tracks chart, Blake Shelton rules as 'God Gave Me You' jumps from No. 4 to No. 1. The Band Perry's 'If I Die Young' holds at No. 2 after topping the chart and registering a total in excess of 3 million downloads. Lady A are at No. 3 on that chart, with 'Just a Kiss,' nearing 1.5 million downloads.

Lady Antebellum will be the musical guest on 'Saturday Night Live' on October 1. The episode will be hosted by recent Emmy winner Melissa McCarthy ('Mike and Molly').
