Lady Antebellum's 'Our Kind of Love' has climbed to the top of both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase charts this week. Billy Currington's 'Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer' falls to No. 2, followed by Kenny Chesney's 'The Boys of Fall' at No. 3.

'Our Kind of Love' is the third straight No. 1 from the group's multi-platinum album, 'Need You Now,' and for the current album, they wanted to write and find songs that they related to and that showed their growth. "We wrote a lot for this album, and the hardest thing is once you've had a little success, then you go, 'OK, I now know what radio wants. I'm going to write a radio hit.' That never works," Lady A's Charles Kelley tells The Boot. "The best songs are ones where you're not trying. So, the hardest thing for us was to go out there and say, 'Let's write to write. Let's not try to write a radio hit. Let's not try to write this song.' That was a challenge. We [also] went out and found a couple of really strong songs to round out the record that we didn't write, and I'm just as proud of those as the ones that we wrote because, again, we're storytellers and not everything has to be a personal experience but something you can relate to."

"When we were writing those first songs, Hillary was 19 and 20, and Charles and I had just moved to Nashville," explains Dave Haywood. "We were pretty naive at the time, and still kind of getting the whole knack of songwriting down. We're extremely proud of these new songs and I just feel like we've lived a lot and we've seen a lot on the road, and we understood at the end of the day, we just needed to create honest songs." Hillary agrees, saying, "For the most part, these are all things we've lived. We're writing about what we've lived."

Lady Antebellum, having just earned five CMA nominations, are certainly living a great life. The trio just took part in Friday's multi-network television extravaganza, 'Stand Up 2 Cancer,' a benefit special to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Their next show is on Paradise Island in the Bahamas on September 18.
