Keith Urban has described his latest album, 'Get Closer,' as intimate view into his relationship with his wife, movie star Nicole Kidman. Therefore, it may seem a bit surprising that the track Keith considers to be the most autobiographical on the album, 'Without You,' is one he didn't write.

"It really is my life story," he tells Nashville Lifestyles magazine about the tune, which was penned by Dave Pahanish and Joe West. "It's crazy -- the fast cars and the guitars and the little girl coming along. It's an amazing song, and I would have never allowed myself to write it."

The father two -- two-year-old Sunday Rose and newborn Margaret Faith -- acknowledges that 'Get Closer' is the natural outcome of everything going well in his personal life. "There's just more love in this album, and that permeated everything and made the music deeper," he acknowledges. "I felt a tremendous sense of balance in my life as a husband, a father and a musician who gets to go and try to capture all that and harness it to create something."

Keith is getting ready to hit the road for his Get Closer tour, which will cover Canada, the United States and Australia. In spite of the grueling schedule, he says he finds his inspiration by performing on stage.

"The beautiful thing about playing live is that everybody is in that moment, singing along," Keith told The Boot. "There are total strangers singing with total strangers: the same song. It doesn't matter how many people, whether it's five or 50,000, it's people connecting and being in the moment. That's what it's all about."

Keith will be joined for the Canadian leg of his tour by opening act The Band Perry, with Jake Owen accompanying him in the United States and Lady Antebellum heading Down Under. Keep track of his schedule here.
