Keith Urban has always said there's one magic moment during his live shows, during which he feels like everyone in the room is right there with him, feeling the same energy and having just as much fun. And for Keith, getting to that moment begins at home, sitting at his computer.

Posting on Twitter, perhaps? "No, definitely not," Keith tells CMT with a laugh. "[And I'm] definitely not Facebook-ing every night."

When Keith does sit down at his computer, it's because he's trying to connect with fans, to let them know what he's working on for them. He'll give updates on new music, post behind-the-scene videos from his tour and hopefully entice fans to his live show, where they can all share in that magic moment.

"[The Internet] is an extension on what we do, in connecting with fans. Everybody starts with writing songs that hopefully connect with people. And if they come out to see us play live, hopefully we get in there and connect. And everybody is in that moment ... not just us with them, but them with each other. That's the magic. So for me, the Internet is just an extension of that -- being able to reach out to them and letting them know what we're up to."

Fans attending the final show of Keith's tour last year got to share a very unique magic moment with him, when he finished his show and suddenly broke into a run, straight down the center of Madison Square Garden through a mass of screaming fans, and out into the streets of New York City -- to hail a cab!

"I don't know why that seemed like a good idea, but it was so much fun to do!" Keith remembers with a laugh. "I thought, if we're gonna leave, let's leave by yellow taxi -- a New York taxi! So we figured out a way for the cameras to be able to follow me down the ramp out of Madison Square Garden, and I just hailed a cab and got in it -- and off I went! I just had to remember to keep money in my stage pants!"

Keith will be performing at this year's ACM Awards in Las Vegas, which will be broadcast live Sunday night (April 18) at 8:00 PM ET on CBS. He's nominated for Entertainer of the Year, which is fan-voted this year.
