Keith Urban took time out from the final week of his Get Closer World tour to spend time on the set of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' promoting his his new men's cologne, Phoenix, as well discussing a contest he is holding in conjunction with People magazine to promote the fragrance.

"We've got this competition where people can shoot a 30-second commercial and send it in," explains the country superstar. "There's prizes, and we'll use the commercial on TV."

Ellen, who couldn't resist getting in on the fun, decided to shoot her own Phoenix commercial with Keith, hoping that having him star in the ad would give her a "leg up" in winning the big prize. Watch their hysterical ad below, featuring Keith looking sexy in an unbuttoned black shirt, and Ellen getting lots of laughs trying to be sexy in her long blond wig, white dress and hilarious attempt at seduction.

"Are you looking for a cologne that's hotter than Tuscon but not as hot as you?" Ellen asks in a suddenly sultry voice. "Phoenix. Burning. Scorching. Sexy. Sultry. Searing. Fiery. Phoenix. It's hot, but it's a dry heat."

The husband of movie star Nicole Kidman says he had a particular group of people in mind when deciding what to name the new scent. "It felt like it was the right name for this cologne," Keith explains. "I didn't want something for particularly middle-American men to feel awkward saying. I thought Phoenix seemed a good safe ground of not too over-the-top."

Keith wasn't only there to get laughs from the audience. He also performed his new single, 'You Gonna Fly,' as well as discussed earning his 13th No. 1 hit, 'Long Hot Summer.'

"It gets sweeter, each one," he says of scoring another chart-topping song. "I think the importance and sort of the impact of it becomes more potent for me."

The New Zealand-born singer will wrap his tour this Saturday, October 15, in Minneapolis, Minn. See his remaining tour dates here.
