Jo Dee Messina Is a ‘Fumbling Mom’ With a Lot on Her Plate!

Jo Dee Messina wants fellow working mothers to know: you don't have to be a superhero! Mom to son Noah (who turns three in January) and now almost eight months pregnant with her second child, the country star has started a new blog, FumblingMom.com. The site offers tips for busy mothers like herself, along with funny anecdotes, personal stories, photos and much more.

"The most profound realization I had back in 2008 when I became pregnant with my son was, our parents were just people trying to get through life, and then we showed up," Jo Dee tells The Boot. "Parents don't have all the answers. We're all trying to figure it out along the way. Being a celebrity doesn't make it any easier. I have the same questions, frustrations and triumphs (potty training) as any other parent out there. This blog is to share my journey and maybe give you a chance to laugh at the whirlwind life of parenthood, relationships and every other thing life may throw my way. If you're looking for a serious blog, this is NOT it. If you need a break from daily stress, check it out."

One of our favorite excerpts from Fumblingmom.com is one of the many stories that show even celebrities aren't immune to the trials and tribulations of a working parent. "As I was on my hands and knees in the bathroom cleaning urine off of the wall and floor, I had this thought. Would people who are 'fans' of mine in my music career ever think that I spend my days chasing around a 2 year old, on my hands and knees, cleaning up the puddles he makes while NOT paying attention when he was 'using the potty'?" Jo Dee writes. "Welcome to the glamorous life, baby."

In addition to providing readers with parenting tips and lots of laughs, the multi-platinum selling singer's new online venture also aims to help some lucky moms get some much needed R&R. In addition to running her blog and getting ready for the new baby, Jo Dee is also putting the finishing touches on new music that she promises fans will hear in early 2012. Until then, you can catch her on TV, as the Massachusetts native will be featured on the Dec. 18 episode of HGTV's 'Celebrity Holiday Homes,' airing at 8:00 PM ET. On the show, interior designer Matthew Haly helps Jo Dee and her family decorate their Nashville home for the holidays, using all natural materials like tree branches and berries.

Jo Dee then makes the jump over to Bravo, appearing on an upcoming episode of the network's wildly popular reality show, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta.' Cameras filmed the CMA winner in a co-writing session with Kandi Burruss, a 'Housewives' cast member and former singer in the R&B quartet, Xscape.

Fans in the Nashville area can also catch Jo Dee live in concert, as her 'Christmas in the Music Room' show is set for Dec. 20 at the Opryland Hotel.
