Jewel Posts Adorable Photo of Son Taken on Thanksgiving

Posting over the weekend on her WhoSay page, Jewel called her son, Kase Townes, "the happiest baby." Lest anyone think she's just another new parent bragging about her kid, she provided some photographic evidence, and sure enough, he looks like one ecstatic tyke.

Taken on Thanksgiving day, the pic (see it after the jump) shows 4-month-old Kase smiling even bigger than his mom. That's saying something, since the 37-year-old singer, songwriter and reality TV host looks about ready to burst with joy.

Born in July, Kase is the first child for Jewel and hubby Ty Murray, a nine-time world champion bull rider and rodeo analyst.

When not hanging with Kase or filming 'Platinum Hit,' the a competition show for songwriters she co-hosts with Kara DioGuardi, Jewel still finds time to make music. In August, she released 'The Merry Goes 'Round,' a collection of children's songs.

"I wrote this album for my child," Jewel told The Boot earlier this year. "It was all the stuff I wanted to say to him."

The musician has also teamed up with Hallmark for a special project called 'Ideas and Inspiration,' sharing tips for fun family activities during the holidays. Read our exclusive interview with Jewel about the festive venture here.
