Jennifer Nettles, Brandy Clark and Lindsay Ell Team Up for 2016 Next Women of Country Tour
Jennifer Nettles has been revealed as the headliner for the 2016 Next Women of Country Tour.
The trek, presented by CMT as part of their Next Women of Country initiative, will also feature Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson.
The four country ladies will be making stops in more than 30 different cities across the U.S. and Canada. The fun kicks off in mid-January in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, and wraps up in late April in Albany, N.Y. A full list of tour dates is below.
“We are honored to have a superstar headline and curate our second Next Women of Country Tour," says CMT SVP of Music Strategy and Talent Leslie Fram. “This will be the year for Jennifer Nettles, with new music coming out on Big Machine Label Group. Brandy Clark will release her sophomore album on Warner Bros. Records, Lindsay Ell just premiered her new video on CMT for "By the Way," and newly signed Tara Thompson has already generated huge buzz for her talents to round out a stellar lineup for our 2016 Tour.”
Nettles and Clark teamed up to write many of the songs on Nettles’ upcoming debut album with Big Machine Label Group. The singer signed with the label in August, shortly after announcing her departure from Universal Music Group, on which she released her solo album, That Girl, in 2014. She is currently on the road on her 2015 Playing With Fire Tour, which also features Clark and Ryan Kinder.
Ticketing information and more details about the 2016 Next Women of Country Tour will be available on Nettles' website.
