Jeffrey SteeleThe 4th Annual Alex LeVasseur Memorial Skate and Music Festival, held each year in memory of the late son of hit songwriter Jeffrey Steele, is scheduled for June 27. The free event takes place at Jim Warren Park in Franklin, Tenn., from 2:00 - 9:00 PM, rain or shine.

The festival will feature live music from Jeffrey and some of his close friends in the music business including Pearl Heart, Frankie Ballard and the Nashville Academy of Rock. Other artists participating will be announced closer to the event. All proceeds will benefit the Alex LeVasseur Fund, a charity that raises scholarship money for underprivileged kids.

Along with the music, fans who attend will be able to enjoy skate demonstrations, giveaways, airbrush tattoos, food, games, autographed auction items and more.

Last year, more than 2,500 people attended the event, which Jeffrey started in 2007 after his 13-year-old son was fatally injured in an ATV-dirt bike accident. Alex's biggest passion was skateboarding. For more information on Alex and the event, click here.
