Congratulations to Greg Bates! The singer is officially a married man.

Bates and his now-wife, singer-songwriter Shelley Skidmore, tied the knot on Saturday (May 2) in her hometown of Stanton, Ky.

"I can't believe I'm a husband," Bates writes on Instagram, sharing a stunning photo of the couple. "I love you @shelleyskidmore."

Bates proposed to Skidmore over Valentine's Day weekend in 2014. Judging by a photo that Skidmore posted on Instagram on Wednesday (May 6), the newlyweds appear to be honeymooning at a beach location.

"Saturday was a fairytale," Skidmore shares on Instagram, along with another wedding photo. Both she and Bates wore simple-yet-stunning attire, and her bouquet was a beautiful mix of springtime flowers.

After signing a recording contract in the fall of 2011, Bates released his self-titled debut EP in July of 2012 on Republic Nashville. He released his first single, "Did It for the Girl," in April of 2012; the song reached the Top 20 on Billboard's U.S. Country chart and the Top 10 on the U.S. Country Airplay chart. Bates has since parted ways with the label and is currently unsigned.

The Boot extends our warmest wishes to the newlyweds!
