George Strait has revealed a brand-new single, "Cold Beer Conversation." The song is the second single off of the country icon's album of the same name, which is set for release on Friday (Sept. 25).

"Cold Beer Conversation," the second track of Strait's new album, was written by Al Anderson, Ben Hayslip and Jimmy Yeary. The song premiered on country radio on Wednesday morning (Sept. 23) -- a traditional country-sounding track that lets Strait's voice shine against simple instrumentation.

"Cold beer conversation / Just a couple of boys / A little time well wasted / Tryin' to figure out life / Tryin' to figure out girls / Tryin' to find our places in this crazy ol' world," Strait sings in the song's chorus. "A little truth / A little frustration / Cold beer conversation."

Strait's new single is one 13 tracks on Cold Beer Conversation. It is the record's second single; the country icon released “Let It Go,” the album's third track, as a single in April.

“I’m really, really proud of this new album,” Strait says. “I think it’s a great record. I always say this: I think it’s one of the best records I’ve done. I always shoot for that … You’ve gotta go in the studio thinking that way. So I’m very excited about that.”

Strait announced his new album and single during a press conference on Tuesday (Sept. 22), at which he also revealed plans for a series of concerts in Las Vegas. The Boot's readers will have access to an exclusive pre-sale for the shows from Sept. 25 through Sept. 30; more information is available here.

Cold Beer Conversation is available for pre-order on iTunes. It will be released exclusively via Apple Music and at Walmart.
