The votes are in, and George Strait has been named country music's Entertainer of the Year at the 2013 CMA Awards, grabbing the title from fellow nominee Blake Shelton.

Strait accepted the award to a standing ovation from a crowd of his fans and peers.

"Oh my gosh, never in a million years. Thank you so much," he said. "I mean, this blows me away, I just cannot believe it."

He added, "I'm just so thrilled even to be nominated again," while recognizing that each nominee was deserving of the award.

The award was presented by 'Good Morning America' anchor Robin Roberts, who received a standing ovation after thanking the crowd for their support through a bone marrow transplant she received late last year.

After the final award of the night, Darius Rucker closed the evening with a performance of his hit single 'Wagon Wheel,' which was nominated for Single of the Year and Song of the Year.
