Garth Brooks fans can now get their first taste of the country star's upcoming 11th studio album. Brooks has dropped "Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance" as his new single, the first from the forthcoming project.

An upbeat guitar riff and splashes of organ highlight "Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance," which was written by Brooks and Kent Blazy, Steve Dorff, Victoria Shaw and the late Kim Williams.

"When it comes to love, my heart is black and it's blue / Swore I was through with romance," Brooks sings in "Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance." "But girl, you're something, and I'm countin' on you / You're my brand-new second chance."

""Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance" was just a fun title that Kent Blazy has had in his book of titles forever, always threatening to write it. So, one day, Kim, Kent and I sat down and wrote it. We got a little help from Steve Dorff, and then Victoria Shaw finished it. In the middle of this, Kim Williams passed away," Brooks shares in a press release. "I’ve got to tell you, I love love love this song, but probably my greatest joy is the fact that this is a Kim Williams song. Not only did it make this record, it’s the first single off this record.”

As the singer mentions, "Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance" will appear on Brooks' upcoming new album. The song itself is now available for download via access codes inside Fritos corn chips bags, and is at radio. Brooks will announce his upcoming album’s title on Saturday (Oct. 15), during the SEC Game of the Week on CBS, and share the disc’s cover on Monday (Oct. 17), during Inside Studio G.

On Nov. 11, Brooks will release The Ultimate Collection, a new box set. The project will include nine discs of music from Brooks’ catalog, as well as some previously unreleased songs, and the 10th disc will be an exclusive version of Brooks’ new album, featuring Target-only bonus tracks.

Brooks is currently on the road for his World Tour with wife Trisha Yearwood. Also on Nov. 11, the couple will release a holiday duets record.
