Faith Hill will be enjoying the sweet smell of success next year, when she launches her own perfume line with Coty fragrances. Hill, who is also busy promoting her Christmas album, is thrilled to be involved.

"A fragrance is part of what a woman wears, fashion that is visible to the sense of smell," she said. "A scent should remind one of a place, a time and a person ... a pleasant memory. I am inspired by my travels around the world as well as my home. These experiences have made a mark on my style in what I wear, my surroundings and the perfume I choose."

Coty is excited to have Hill on board. "We were looking again for an iconic American celebrity who incarnates traditional American values and fragrance values to the mass market, and Faith fits that to perfection - she's young, energetic, embraces motherhood and has incredible style and sophistication," said Steve Mormoris, Senior VP of Global Marketing for Coty.

Tim McGraw may have been a bit psychic regarding his wife's involvement while he was working on his own cologne line last year. "I would love to see her have a fragrance, and us to have one together -- a unisex fragrance," he said at the time. But, he gave forewarning to Coty that his wife is "...a lot more expensive than I am!"

While Mormoris declined to comment on the specific dollar amount Hill received for the fragrance line, standard celebrity deals range from $3 million to $5 million, plus 1 to 5 percent of the royalties.

Coty also has fragrances by Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and Halle Berry, among others.
