Eric Church only has a few concerts on his calendar so far for 2016 -- some European dates, a smattering of festival appearances -- but he's announced two big additions: The country star will perform two solo shows at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in early August.

Church will play the gorgeous famed venue on Aug. 9 and 10. Tickets will go on sale to Church Choir fan club members on March 4 and to the general public on March 11. Travel packages, for either one or both nights, will be available. Fans can find more information on Church's official website and through AXS.com.

Since wrapping up his The Outsiders World Tour in late 2015, Church has mostly stayed out of the spotlight. However, he surprised fans with the release of a new album, Mr. Misunderstood, in November.

"It always takes me time to look for inspiration to make a new album," Church says. "This time, inspiration found me."

The singer has played a handful of solo shows throughout his touring career. Most recently, he performed two sold-out acoustic shows at Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater at the end of July. Last January, when his band and crew fell ill before a show in Salt Lake City, Utah, Church played acoustically rather than canceling the gig.

"I’m going to start doing a little bit of that here and there when the situation calls for it," the artist said in May.

Church recently released a new single, "Record Year," from Mr. Misunderstood. Among his scheduled festival shows during the summer of 2016 is a stop at WE Fest in August.
