The 2016 College Football National Championship is going to get a big dose of country thanks to Eric Church.

Church will headline the championship tailgate event at an interactive area adjacent to the University of Phoenix's stadium in Glendale, Ariz., where the game is set to take place on Jan. 11. The festivities -- free to all championship game ticketholders -- are scheduled to run from 11AM to 5PM and include an opening performance by the Nashville-based band Moon Taxi. (Sadly, the performances will not be televised.) Attending fans will also be able to enjoy games, sponsor activities, concessions and ESPN broadcast sets.

In addition to Church's performance, before kickoff, Canaan Smith will sing "America, the Beautiful" with members of the Phoenix Children's Chorus. Pop star Ciara will perform the National Anthem.

The College Football National Championship will be broadcast on ESPN beginning at 7PM ET. It will feature the winner of the Capital One Orange Bowl against the winner of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

Church, who debuted a surprise record, Mr. Misunderstood, in late 2015, has a busy 2016 ahead of him, including European tour dates and a headlining slot at WE Fest 2016.
