Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ Lands on Tonight’s ‘Glee’
On the episode of 'Glee' set to air tonight (Nov. 29) on Fox, the character of Coach Beiste finds herself pining for a guy who's out to dinner with another woman. It's a situation that screams "country song," and the show's writers have answered the call.
According to AOL Music, Beiste, played by actress Dot-Marie Jones, will sing Dolly Parton's heart-heavy classic 'Jolene.'
It's only the second time Dot-Marie has sung on the show, and given the tune's pleading chorus -- "I'm begging of you, please don't take my man" -- it promises to be a memorable performance.
The episode will also feature Katy Perry's 'I Kissed a Girl' and Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun.' Next week, another country star, Toby Keith, will get the 'Glee' treatment, as the cast takes on 'Red Solo Cup.'
