Dierks Bentley and Del McCoury performed the National Anthem for the first game of the Nashville Predators' 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs series vs. the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night (April 27). Readers can press play above to watch.
The Predators and the Jets kicked off their best-of-seven second-round series on Friday night in Music City. Game 2 will take place in Nashville on Sunday (April 29), after which the teams will head to Winnipeg for Game 3 on Tuesday (May 1) and Game 4 on Thursday (May 3). If necessary, Game 5 would take place in Nashville on May 5, Game 6 would occur in Winnipeg on May 7, and Game 7 would happen back in Nashville on May 10.
Nashville defeated the Colorado Avalanche four games to two in their first-round playoffs matchup. Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and Maren Morris sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the team's three home games during that series.
The Nashville Predators' tradition of inviting country superstars to perform the National Anthem prior to home playoff games began during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Last year, Carrie Underwood -- who is married to Predators player Mike Fisher -- was the first to get involved, but Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Trisha Yearwood and many more also got in on the fun throughout the Preds' Stanley Cup run. Bentley did the honors before Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final series vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins.
