Darius Rucker's sophomore CD, 'Charleston, SC 1966,' earned him two No. 1 hits ('Come Back Song' and 'This'), plus his current Top 20 single, 'I Got Nothin', but the South Carolina native already has a third studio album in his sights.

"I've got two or three more writing sessions, but we've written pretty much the whole record," he reveals to USA Today, adding that he spent time recording some of the new tunes this week.

Darius will spend more time behind the microphone over the next couple of weeks, but it'll be on a concert stage instead of in the studio. He heads to Indianapolis tonight (Feb. 2) to perform a free show as part of the festivities leading up to Sunday night's Super Bowl XLVI, but he has no plans to stick around for the big game.

"I've been to, like, 13 of the last 14 Super Bowls," he notes. "This year, I'm going to watch it at home with my boy."

Darius will also be in his hometown of Charleston on Monday, Feb. 13, for 'An Evening With Darius Rucker Singing the Songs of Frank Sinatra,' but the singer-songwriter reveals concert attendees will hear tunes from a few other iconic artists as well.

"I've got a bunch of symphony guys, and Peter Graves, who was Sinatra's conductor in the Southeast for years, is my conductor and arranger," he explains. "We do mostly Sinatra, but I do Louis Prima, maybe a Mose Allison song. I feel like I'm Sinatra Live at the Sands 1964 when I do it."

The concert benefits the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital Fund. Tickets are still available, and can be purchased here.

The Hootie & the Blowfish frontman is also spending much of the next few months on the road, serving as opening act, along with Thompson Square, for Lady Antebellum's record-breaking Own the Night tour. See his complete concert schedule here.
