Move over, Kenny Chesney! Lady Antebellum kicked off the opening weekend of their Own the Night 2012 tour by breaking Kenny's previously-held attendance record at the 8,000-seat Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Ill. on Sunday, Jan. 29. The powerhouse trio, who now hold the record for attendance at the venue, played before more than 32,000 fans in three nights over the course of the weekend.

"Opening weekend was more than we ever could have dreamed," Lady A's Charles Kelley acknowledges. "There's been so much anticipation and nervous excitement leading up to our first big arena tour. So much work and preparation goes into putting it together, and then you have to let go and just hope the fans show up. They didn't let us down! We're honestly blown away."

The trio, which also includes Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, admit they were a bit apprehensive about their ambitious plans to play in larger venues in the upcoming year. "It's kind of scary when you see the Staples Center and the American Airlines Arena in Dallas -- when you actually look at it on paper," Dave confessed to the Wall Street Journal. "When the rubber meets the road, will we really be able to sell this many tickets?"

It looks like their fears were definitely unfounded. Their tour, which includes Darius Rucker and Thompson Square serving as opening acts, takes the tio to West Virginia and Pennsylvania this weekend, followed by stops in Utah, Colorado and Texas. Keep track of their tour schedule here.
