The CMA Songwriters Series will return to Boston July 31 with a first-time performer at the popular, multi-city event: Carrie Underwood.

"We first brought the CMA Songwriters Series to Boston last year and it was a huge success," says Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. "We are so excited to have Carrie participating in this event. New England's country music fans are in for an unforgettable night."

Joining Carrie for the show, which will take place at downtown Boston's Royale concert venue, will be three lauded Nashville songwriters who have penned some of her biggest hits: Brett James ("Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Cowboy Casanova"), Luke Laird ("So Small," "Last Name," "Undo It," "Mama's Song" and "Temporary Home") and Hillary Lindsey ("Just a Dream," "So Small," "Jesus, Take The Wheel," "Wasted" and "Last Name"). The show will be hosted by the always hilarious Bob DiPiero, who's known for a laundry list of country hits including George Strait's "Blue Clear Sky" and Tim McGraw's "Southern Voice."

"I'm so excited to be a part of the CMA Songwriter Series with Hillary, Luke, Brett, and Bob!" says Carrie. "Not only are they some of the most respected songwriters in Nashville, but I'm very lucky to call them my friends. It's going to be a great night!"

Tickets to the show go on sale this Friday (June 29) and range from $25 - $50. Tickets will be available at the Royale box office on Fridays between 12:00 - 6:00 PM, or through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com or 1-800-745-3000).
