Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are now on tap to co-host the CMAs for a fifth consecutive time when the 46th Annual CMA Awards air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 1.

While Carrie notes, "I think I can speak for both of us when I say that we are extremely excited to be back for a fifth year hosting the CMA Awards," Brad is hopeful that more than a few golden opportunities for the always highly-anticipated comical opening segment will fall into their laps before showtime.

"We're waiting on someone to do something really stupid between now and then. I have faith," says the entertainer.

And although the faith he was speaking of was not Faith Hill, one of last year's funniest gags involved Faith and her husband, Tim McGraw, and a pair of Barbie dolls inspired by that country couple.

"Let's find out if they're anatomically correct!" Brad screamed after the dolls had a brief makeout session. When Brad and Carrie checked the physical attributes of said dolls, they were disappointed to find them, uh, lacking. "There's nothing there!" they said. "I like it, I love it. I want some more of it," Brad sang with a smile as Tim and Faith laughed hysterically.

Other targets of their humor during last year's show included Hank Williams Jr., who had recently been pulled from "Monday Night Football" after remarks he made about President Obama, and Miss Piggy, about whom Brad said, "We're like bacon and eggs," before being subjected to one of the porcine princesses' trademark karate chops.

Even though having fun with the telecast is their goal, Brad acknowledges they make sure they're both fully prepared. "The reason that I think it has worked is because we both take it so seriously that we're ready when we walk out there," he says. "We are focused on making sure that we're not just crossing our fingers that it works, that what we have ready is ready."

"I feel like each year our hosting gets better and better," says Carrie. "We want to top that every year, so it's a good challenge."

The 46th Annual CMA Awards will be telecast Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC. Who do you think will be the targets of Brad and Carrie's humor at this year's show?
