Former 'American Idol' contestant Chris Sligh and his wife, Sarah, received the biggest treat of all on Halloween morning, as the couple welcomed their first child. Keira Lennon Sligh was born at a Nashville-area hospital at 6:06 AM on Sunday (October 31), confirms People. The little bundle of joy weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long.

"Keira is the most beautiful thing we have ever seen, and we are just thrilled that she arrived happy and healthy," Chris tells the magazine. "She's well worth the wait!"

Chris says that their daughter's name, Keira, was the only girl's name on which the two could agree. As far as her middle name, it's a nod to the singer's all-time favorite band. "I'm a Beatles fan," Chris says. "Luckily, I managed to negotiate a Beatle into my child's name!"

In an exclusive interview with The Boot, Chris revealed details of the impending birth, saying, "To be 32 years old and not feel like a grownup, and suddenly having to act like a grownup because I'm having a kid is somewhat scary. It's becoming more and more real, where I talk to [the baby] every night and just tell her how excited we are for her to come. I sing to her, although my wife doesn't think 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is a good song to sing to an unborn child."

Chris and Sarah moved to Nashville after the singer placed in the Top 10 on the singing competition in 2007. His second Christian album, 'The Anatomy of Broken,' was released in September.
