From the looks of it, Carrie Underwood had an awful lot of fun -- but had to put in a lot of work -- filming the opening video to go along with her new Sunday Night Football theme song.

On Monday (Aug. 29), NBC released the audio of Underwood's new theme, “Oh, Sunday Night,” but now, in advance of its debut, fans can press play above to go behind the scenes of Underwood's 2016-2017 SNF opening video montage.

"It's been really great with the new song, and there was kind of a new energy in the building today," Underwood notes. "It was nice to be around the guys and see them interact with each other and just get to hang around them for the day."

“Oh, Sunday Night” is set to the tune of “Somethin’ Bad,” Underwood and Miranda Lambert‘s Grammy-nominated hit. Underwood worked with the writers of “Somethin’ Bad,” Chris DeStefano, Brett James and Priscilla Renea, to rewrite the lyrics; new lines include Stand up and cheer, stomp your feet, start clappin’ / NBC Sunday night about to happen / The hits keep comin’ and the lights keep flashin’ / Come on, come on, get ready for the action.”

"Oh, Sunday Night" replaces “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” the Sunday Night Football theme song from 2006 through 2015. Underwood has been singing the SNF theme since 2013, when she took over Faith Hill‘s duties, making the upcoming season her fourth as the voice of the introduction.

Fans will first get to see the final video version of Underwood’s 2016-2017 Sunday Night Football theme on Sept. 8 (a Thursday), when the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos face the Carolina Panthers. The game is set for 8:30PM ET on NBC.
