She's baaack! Carrie Underwood will once again sing the Sunday Night Football theme song for the 2016-2017 NFL season.

Underwood has been singing "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" since 2013; the upcoming season will be her fourth as the voice of SNF's introduction. Underwood shared the news on Twitter on Thursday (May 19), noting that she is "honored and excited" to be back in the role.

Underwood took over Faith Hill‘s Sunday Night Football responsibilities in 2013. Hill opened NBC’s telecasts for six seasons.

“I love football. I’m honored they asked me to kick it off,” Underwood says about being asked to sing the SNF theme. “Hopefully when people hear the song, they’ll just feel ready for the big game!”

Fans will first get to hear Underwood's 2016-2017 Sunday Night Football theme on Sept. 8 (a Thursday), when the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos face the Carolina Panthers. The game is set for 8:30PM ET on NBC.

Underwood is currently on the road, on her 2016 Storyteller Tour, which she recently extended through November. After that, she’ll head “down under,” to Australia, with Keith Urban in December.
