Carrie Underwood Announces 2016 Storyteller Tour

Carrie Underwood has announced her plans for a new tour in 2016.

The Storyteller Tour -- Stories in the Round will hit 40 arenas across the United States and Canada from January through May of 2016; a complete list of dates and venues is available below. The trek will be Underwood's first in-the-round tour.

“I can’t wait to play new music from Storyteller for the fans,” Underwood says in a press release. “I am so blessed to have this career and get to do to the things I do, but there is nothing like that moment when I get to step onto the stage to sing and all the fans are singing along with me.”

Fans have been hoping for this news for quite some time. Back in January, Underwood said, “I’ve already signed on for some things for next year as far as shows go. But as far as a proper ‘tour tour,’ that’ll happen after I have lots of new music.”

Not only will this tour will look different because of Underwood's new music and the in-the-round seating style, it will also be a new experience because of Underwood's new role as a mama.

“I know it’s possible to be a great mother and to be on the road,” she says. “You don’t have to sacrifice that much. I see people like Martina [McBride] do it and Faith [Hill] do it. I know it’s a possibility. I just maybe need to sit down with them and say, 'How DO you do it?'”

Tickets for Underwood's 2016 tour are scheduled to go on sale on Nov. 6 at 10AM local time; however, fans who purchase Storyteller through Underwood's online store will receive access to an exclusive pre-sale. More information is available on Underwood's website. The country superstar will be donating $1 from every ticket sold for her U.S. tour dates to the C.A.T.S. Foundation, which helps with "general causes, needs and services" in the area of Checotah, Okla., Underwood's hometown.

Underwood also has previously announced a few festival dates for 2016, including the C2C Festival in Ireland, England, and Scotland.
