Carrie Underwood has reached yet another career milestone. Her 2005 debut album, released the year she became the season five winner of 'American Idol,' has now been certified seven-times platinum -- which makes the new bride the first 'Idol' winner to achieve that level of sales success.

Season one 'AI' champ, Kelly Clarkson sold more than six million albums with her 2004 CD, 'Breakaway,' which earlier this year helped her earn the rank of most successful 'AI' contestant of all time. Carrie may be hot on Kelly's heels, though. Her current CD, 'Play On,' is consistently the top weekly seller of all former 'Idol' contestants, while Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry both have albums currently on the Billboard 200 chart.

Carrie also boasts the most music awards of any 'Idol' winner, with a trophy case that includes five Grammys, 10 ACM awards and 14 Billboard awards. Other 'American Idol' alumni who have achieved platinum status include Clay Aiken, Ruben Studdard, David Cook, Kellie Pickler and Jordin Sparks.

The Oklahoma native, who recently returned from a lengthy honeymoon in Tahiti, will be splitting her limited time off the road between her home in Nashville and her husband Mike Fisher's home in Ottawa. Her Play On tour runs through December. Click here for dates.
