It's been almost six years since Carrie Underwood sang her way into the finale of the fourth season of 'American Idol,' and beat out fellow country artist Bo Bice to take home the top prize. Now, one part of that memorable evening will travel across the country for the next month, to be shared with millions of fans.

The hit show has launched a mobile experience called 'Idol Across America,' which will visit 16 cities in a four-week period, allowing visitors 15 years of age and older to participate in aspects of the 'AI' experience. Housed in a biodiesel-fueled tour bus, guests will have the opportunity to view several pieces of 'Idol' memorabilia, including the dress Carrie wore for the season finale, as well as David Cook's guitar and host Ryan Seacrest's suit. In addition, the bus boasts several hands-on experiences, including the opportunity to sit at life-size replica of the judges' table and to record their own version of Ryan's famous intro, "This is 'American Idol.'"

Carrie, who ranks as the most successful 'Idol' contestant of all time, says she is grateful for the show, which was the launching pad for her multi-platinum, award-winning career. "There's much more of a relationship with me and the fans, because in the beginning it was like, 'Oh, we saw her on TV,'" Carrie tells The Boot. "It wasn't like there was a background repertoire kind of 'I have her CD. I've seen her in concert. I've followed her.' It was so instant in the beginning, and now I feel like we kind of have a relationship. I feel like I can enjoy it a lot more because I was so in shock in the beginning."

The new season of 'American Idol,' which includes the addition of new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, kicked off last night (January 19) on Fox. No word yet if Carrie, who is enjoying setting up house in Canada, plus laying the ground work for a new album, will return for another guest appearance this season. 'American Idol' airs live on Wednesdays and Thursdays on Fox at 8:00 PM ET.
