Carrie Underwood will perform at the 2015 American Music Awards.

The Oklahoma native posted the good news on her Facebook page on Wednesday (Oct. 21), saying that she is "[s]o excited to play on the American Music Awards on November 22nd!!!"

Underwood is nominated for one American Music Award this year, for Favorite Female Artist -- Country, along with Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini. Other performers already announced for the 2015 AMAs televised broadcast include Selena Gomez and 5 Seconds of Summer.

The "Smoke Break" singer will release her latest album, Storyteller, on Friday (Oct. 23). The 13-track record is her first studio album since 2012's Blown Away.

“There are some things on there that are definitely familiar, but there’s a lot of growth that has happened, as well,” Underwood explains. “It’s going to sound a little bit different — still the things that fans will obviously know is me. I’m not going crazy or anything, but it’s a little bit of a shift.”

In addition to "Smoke Break," the country superstar has also given fans a sneak peak of three other songs on the record: "Heartbeat," "Renegade Runaway" and "What I Never Knew I Always Wanted." All of the songs are available as instant downloads for fans who pre-order Storyteller on iTunes.
