What do bowling pins, roller skates, neon paint and animal heads all have in common? They each appear in the recently released music video for Canaan Smith's latest single, "Hole in a Bottle."

The song, written by Smith along with Brett Beavers and Dan Couch, is from the singer-songwriter's Bronco album, which he released earlier this year. Smith co-wrote eight of the 11 tracks on Bronco, but he says that the entire record is autobiographical.

“It’s definitely my story as real as I can tell it,” he tells The Boot. “I think people are going to get a taste of who I am as a person.

"The songs just keep getting cooler,” he adds. “If I was not a singer of these songs, I would go buy these songs because I believe they’re country songs that people need to hear.”

Smith wrote "Hole in a Bottle" in a sort of tribute to his loyal fans, who show up at his concerts ready to party after a long week at work.

"My fans are the hardest-working people," he explains. "They bust their a-- all week long. So by the time Friday rolls around, they wanna forget the timeclock and let loose. I want "Hole in a Bottle" to be what takes 'em there."

The Virginia native is currently out on the road on his 2015 Stompin’ Grounds Tour; a list of dates is available on his website.
