Country’s bubbliest artist, Cam, has released the music video for her hit track "Mayday." The video, which features an Amelia Earhart-inspired aesthetic in keeping with the song’s title, is as unique as the song itself.

In the video, vintage ads and newspapers frame Cam in the same way as Earhart, the woman everyone said wouldn’t be able to fly. Toward the end of the video, Cam herself takes flight, echoing the song’s message of moving on when a relationship goes on past its prime.

Of the track, Cam says that it is deeply autobiographical. In March, she told The Boot and other reporters that both she and co-writer Tyler Johnson wrote from a place of experience.

“What it represents — that feeling of being in a situation that, you know you should want more, but you’re afraid that this is as good as it’s going to get,” she says. “I feel like that feeling is something that everybody knows.”
