Blake Shelton, Twitter: Singer Shares Honest New Year’s Resolution
Blake Shelton's 2013 resolution is to keep the peace on Twitter a little bit more often. The country singer told US Weekly that in the new year he'll strive not to rock the boat on social media, as he has in the past. "I need to work on being a less controversial tweeter," Shelton said when asked what his goals were for the new year.
A tweet that "The Voice" judge posted last year about hitting a turtle with his car sparked an outrage among animal rights activists and celebrities alike.
Even Ellen DeGeneres joined in the backlash against the country singer's ill-mannered tweet. Although he later apologized (and explained that he didn't actually hit a turtle), Miranda Lambert's husband seems to have no desire to spark any more Twitter drama.
Shelton has a new single out entitled "Sure Be Cool If You Did" and will likely be focusing on his seventh studio album and the fourth season of "The Voice" in 2013. Sounds like Blake will be too busy to be spending that much time on Twitter anyway!
