Bill Anderson is hitting the road. The 77-year-old has announced a series of tour dates this fall, which will include several shows in Canada.

Anderson will begin his trek at the end of August in Minnesota and play a smattering of dates in September and early October, when the tour wraps up in New Mexico. During the shows, he will perform several of his biggest hits from throughout the past 50 years, including "Po' Folks," "Bright Lights and Country Music," "Mama Sang a Song," "The Tips of My Fingers," "8X10," "Still" and more.

The Grand Ole Opry member still performs regularly at the Opry, whenever he is in town.

"When you stand on that stage on a sold-out night, there are about 4,400 people in attendance, and they come from everywhere," Anderson tells Country Music Matters. "They come from all around the world. There are people there who know who you are and people there that have never heard of you. You try every time you hit that stage to do the very best you can do. Then you hope that someone leaves saying, 'I enjoyed that ol' Anderson boy; he wasn’t too bad!'"
