A private charter jet set to transport Aaron Lewis to a Saturday night (Sept. 20) concert suffered a mishap before takeoff, prohibiting the continuation of the flight and causing the cancellation of his performance.

After playing with Brantley Gilbert on the Let It Ride tour in Austin, Texas, on Friday night (Sept. 19), Lewis and the crew for his Sportsman's Channel reality hunting show 'On the Road' were filming a segment Saturday afternoon in Warton, Texas. His plane was scheduled to depart from Warton at 1 PM and fly to Tulsa, Okla., so that Lewis could perform at that evening's tour stop at the BOK Center.

However, an error caused the Cessna Citation V jet to veer off the taxiway and get stuck in mud, and the flight was cancelled. No one was injured, but Lewis missed the show.

“I’m so glad that we are safe; however, I am really sorry that the fans in Tulsa were disappointed and let down with me not making [the] show," Lewis says. "I promise I’ll be back to Tulsa soon."
