Kacey Musgraves, Dan + Shay, Thomas Rhett and more artists have been added to Today's 2019 Citi Concert Series. Rhett is the first country artist to make an appearance in the series, on May 31, followed by Dan + Shay on June 28 and Musgraves on July 19; additionally, Sheryl Crow will perform on May 23, and folk-pop act Maggie Rogers will play on July 12. Held at Rockefeller Plaza, the Today Citi Concert Series shows are free for fans in New York City on a "first come, first serve" basis.
Legendary country songwriter Glenn Martin has died. According to MusicRow, Martin passed away on May 12, at the age of 86, and his funeral services were held in Brentwood, Tenn., on May 16 and 17. As his obituary notes, Martin was one of the first members of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, a group that lobbies for songwriters, and penned country classics including Merle Haggard's "It's Not Love (But It's Not Bad)" and Tammy Wynette's "Fairy Tales."
Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton and more artists have contributed music memorabilia for the 2019 Girls Rock Reverb Gives Auction, which kicks off on May 21.
