Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard all shared the stage at the 56th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (Jan. 26), but it seems that the three men have already been spending some time together, recording a new album.

"We're working on one now, yeah," Nelson reveals to Billboard magazine, adding that they will release it "as soon as we get it together."

This isn't the first time the country music legends have revealed plans to collaborate on a project together. In 2011, Haggard revealed the three discussed working on a record while attending a State Department dinner hosted by Hillary Clinton.

“[Willie and I] talked about doing that together, but with the presence of Kris, we talked about the three of us doing it," the 'Okie From Muskogee' singer said. "I’m sure if we’re healthy and live to do it, we’ll do it. We thought about the title: the Musketeers. You know, because there’s the three of us. We’ll come up with some little way of describing ourselves I guess, and put it together into a show.”

In their illustrious careers, Kristofferson and Nelson have worked together, as have Nelson and Haggard, but it appears this would be the first time Haggard and Kristofferson have professionally joined forces.

There's no word yet on when the album will be completed.
