Vince Gill has become a first-time grandfather. The country legend's daughter, Jenny, gave birth to her first child, son Wyatt Gill Van Valkenburg, on Monday (Aug. 4), according to People.

The singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer announced the news from the stage during a performance Monday night in Nashville with his band, the Time Jumpers.

Jenny Gill is Vince Gill's only child with his first wife, Sweethearts of the Rodeo singer Janis Oliver. She married music publishing executive Josh Van Valkenburg in May of 2010 at the home Vince shares with his second wife, singer Amy Grant. Jenny is also a singer, and has worked with both her father and Grant.

Jenny shared the good news with her famous father at Christmas, when the entire family was gathered together.

"I always get socks and underwear. And it's become a tradition for me to make everyone breakfast on Christmas morning," Gill told a concert audience in May. "So when my daughter Jenny came in the kitchen and said she had one more gift for me, I thought, 'Oh great, more underwear.' But instead, she handed me a card with an ultrasound picture in it of the baby that's on the way."

Congratulations to the Gill and Van Valkenburg family!
