It's a well-known fact that some of the most talented artists in the world will spend their entire careers chasing after the elusive record deal. For that reason, Wynonna, Craig Morgan, Dustin Lynch and Hunter Hayes have joined several other celebrities in judging the Unsigned Only music competition, which seeks out talented singers, including solo artists and bands, who are not affiliated with any record label.

The contest, which also includes the editors of Paste, Rolling Stone and Spin magazine as judges, promises $10,000 to the winner, plus extensive one-on-one mentoring by an elite group of record company executives. Other artists who are serving as judges include Iggy Pop, Cyndi Lauper, Eve, Robert Smith from The Cure, Carly Simon and Chrissie Hynde.

Entrants are being accepted in several different genres, including Country, Rock, Pop/Top 40, R&B and Christian. More information, including entry submission guidelines, can be found here. Entries will be accepted through March 14, 2013.
