Thomas Rhett Sings ‘It Goes Like This’ at the 2013 American Country Awards

Thomas Rhett performed during the American Country Awards on Tuesday night (Dec. 10).

The 23-year-old sang the title track of his debut album, 'It Goes Like This,' which became his first No. 1 hit. The son of country music hitmaker Rhett Akins recently celebrated the success of the tune at a party in his honor.

"My music has evolved so much since I started making this record two and a half years ago and it’s representative of all my experiences along the way…the tours I’ve been on and the fans and friends I’ve made at our shows across the country,” he says. “I’m very lucky that I’ve had the chance to experience so much and thankful for every moment. I just tried to pour it all into the songs we recorded.”
