There's no question that Thomas Rhett has experienced a great year, and he's finishing 2015 on a high note: The singer has earned his fifth consecutive No. 1 hit and gone platinum with "Die a Happy Man."

The song is from Rhett's sophomore record, Tangled Up. In it, he sings about his wife, Lauren: “If I never get to see the Northern Lights / Or if I never get to see the Eiffel Tower at night / Oh, if all I got is your hand in my hand / Baby, I could die a happy man."

"Die a Happy Man" is especially sweet because Rhett and his wife's relationship spans a couple of decades (they met in first grade). The No. 1 hit is deeply meaningful to the singer, and that makes its success that much more exciting.

“It's been really cool to see a song that is so personal to me and Lauren become something so many other people can relate to,” Rhett shares. “This year has been wild, and I can't really think of a better way to close it out."

Rhett's other No. 1 songs include "It Goes Like This," "Get Me Some of That," "Make Me Wanna" and "Crash and Burn."

Rhett will support Jason Aldean on his 2016 We Were Here Tour, which is scheduled to kick off on Jan. 14 in Moline, Ill. A Thousand Horses will also be opening the shows.
